National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) Act 2007 provides for the establishment of the NIMC, its functions, powers, establishment of the National Identity Database, assignment and use of General Multi-purpose cards, and the National Identification Number (NIN). The Act also provides the Commission with powers to make regulations connected with its functions. The NIMC Act 2007 provides the repeal of the law that created the former Department of National Civic Registration (DNCR) and the transfer of its assets and liabilities to the NIMC.

Job Description
Reporting to Head, Operations Management Department, the successful candidate manages, directs and coordinates the activities as well as provides direct oversight of the operations of the State Office. He/she will also generate periodic management reports on the performance of the state office in the areas of operations, personnel, fleet, and facilities management.

Key Requirements

  • A bachelors degree or its equivalent in Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or other related fields.
  • A minimum of 16 years’ post-qualification experience, with at least 8 years relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in branch or liaison office management.
